Resurrection Catholic Church Allenton Wisconsin

Icon of St. Joseph Prayer Service - May 8

An icon of St. Joseph will be the centerpiece of a special prayer service at Resurrection on Wednesday, May 8th following the 6:30pm Mass. This prayer service is to honor St. Joseph and pray for his intercession in preserving, cultivating, and passing on the Catholic faith to future generations. It is sponsored by our Knights of Columbus Unity Council 12743.

Rural Life Masses - May 11-12

There will be a special blessing of seeds as we celebrate our annual Rural Life Masses this weekend (May 11-12). Please bring any seeds or plants you would like blessed with you to Mass. A variety of blessed garden seeds provided by the Human Concerns Committee will also be available after Masses for as long as supply lasts.

The Rural Life banner we display at Resurrection Church is a replica of the large one used on the platform erected for Pope St. John Paul II's visit to Iowa on Oct. 4, 1979 (Read the article). The center cross symbolizes furrowed soil and seeds. Four fields within the arms of the cross represent contours of plowed fields; the colors representing four seasons.

Eucharistic Revival Q&A

For this year of Eucharistic Revival, we will be sharing a weekly question and answer from the book, Behold the Lamb of God, by Edward Sri to learn more about this central mystery of our faith. This week's question is:

If I choose to receive in the hand, is there a particular way I should do that? See the parish bulletin for the answer.

Refer to the Eucharistic Revival webpage for more information and resources.
